January Newsletter

January, 2020 Dear Cascade Families, Happy New Year! With the start of a new year and new semester, there are lots of opportunities for fresh starts and new goals. I hope everyone had a wonderful break and students are returning ready to finish the year strong.  In the spirit of growth, is there something you would like to see done differently next fall semester? Is there something you hope to see happen again? I am very interested in your feedback. Please email me at nichole.pieper@cascade.k12.mt.us with the title “School Improvement” so I can make this a school a reflection of everything our community values. On the first day back from school, 7-12th graders attended an assembly about drug prevention, specifically targeting tobacco, alcohol, and marijuana and the harmful effects of vaping. Our kids were very respectful hosts and I was very proud of how they represented our school and community. Please take time to talk with your child about what they learned. Our Exploration Day in December went very well! I want to say a huge thank you to the teachers and guest teachers for putting on such a fun, informative experience for our kids. In case you hadn’t heard, kids went on a history field trip, were taught fly fishing, CPR, surgery, antler scoring, paper crafting, yoga, cooking, 80’s culture, superhero lore, mining, crochet, rock painting, science experiments, and circuit training with the National Guard. If you have a talent you would like to share with out fantastic group of kids next Exploration Day, please contact me.  Wishing you well this January. Respectfully,Nichole Pieper
