Player of the Week

Badger Player of the Week For the week of August 22nd 2022 High SchoolIan Mckamey is the High School Player of the Week.  Ian has been asked to do a lot for the Badger Football team during these first two weeks of football.   He is an extremely hard worker and always has a positive attitude.  He has great leadership skills, which can be seen on and off the field.  We invite you to come out and watch Ian and the rest of the Badger football team for our first home football game vs Simms on Friday September, 2 at 7:00. Junior HighDeyton Raether is the JH Player of the Week.  Deyton was chosen due to his off-season work and dedication which led to him being chosen as a Team Captain for the Week 1 game against Belt.  Deyton led the team's preparation and focus in the week leading up to the game showing leadership both on and off the field.  During the game against Belt, Deyton stood out on both offense and defense.  He led the team in both receptions (2) and receiving yards (40) where both catches were crucial and drive sustaining.  On the defensive side, he and his teammates held a very talented and tough Belt team to just 6 points.  Deyton specifically forced and recovered a fumble, recorded several tackles and superbly played his position throughout the game.  Deyton's pick as Player of the Week was unanimous.

Welcome Letter

August 11, 2021 Dear Parents and Community Members,             Welcome Back to School! I am happy to welcome everyone back to school. I can’t wait to meet our newest community members and am excited to see the rapid growth in our community. I hope you have had a wonderful summer and are ready for our 2022-2023 school year! Our first day back will be August 22nd. We will have our annual Back to School Night on August 18th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. It is a come-and-go event to meet the teachers, get schedules for the upper grades, bring in supplies, and receive parent information first-hand. There will also be a donation dinner provided by CHS Volleyball. They will be serving sloppy joes, chips, and watermelon in the cafeteria from 5:00 pm to7:00 pm. This year will be my eighth year at Cascade Public Schools and my twenty-second year in education. I am excited to be broadening my duties as principal to include all of the students and staff throughout the school. I have enjoyed working closely with elementary students, parents, and staff the last few years and am looking forward to adding the middle and high schools to the mix. Cascade has been a wonderful community to our family, and we can’t imagine raising our family anywhere else. I am looking forward to all this year has to offer.            There have been a few changes within our teaching and administrative staff this year. I hope you will join me in welcoming our new superintendent, Mr. Levi Collins, and his family and also Mrs. Angie Hastings, who has also joined our staff as administrative assistant. Mrs. Karen Allen has moved teaching assignments to the first-grade classroom and is ready to greet her young learners. We have a few new teachers this year so please be sure to welcome Mrs. Kendelle Sanders (3rd Grade), Mrs. Leah Costa (Title I), Mrs. Lynn Formell (JH English/Social Studies), Mr. Michael Silverman (JH/HS Science), and Mr. Steven Pettis (HS Math) to Cascade. We are extremely fortunate to have them as part of our Cascade Badgers! As always, I would like to thank our custodial and teaching staff as they have worked towards providing a clean and safe environment for our children. I would also like to thank the cafeteria crew and Xcell for taking care of our kids throughout the summer and providing them with nutritious meals and a safe place to play and learn. Our school schedule will be the same this year for everyone except our K1 students. The K1 classroom is our 4yr old kindergarten. Due to high enrollment numbers, we have divided the K1 students into two full day groups. Group A will attend Monday/Wednesday and Group B will attend Tuesday/Thursday. Our instructional day begins at 7:55 am for all of our students, and our release times will be K1-3 at 3:45 pm and grades 4-12 at 3:52 pm. The entrance doors will unlock at 7:30 am when breakfast begins. Please do not drop your students off before this time. When bringing your child to school, we ask that only K1 and K2 (5yr old kindergarten) parents walk their children to the classrooms after the first day. Our students who are dropped off or walk will come through the doors at the Commons for safety reasons. In the morning, the elementary doors will only be available for the students who ride the bus. At the end of the day, students will be released at both entrances. All doors will be locked from 7:55 am until release. If you would like to visit during the school day, please enter at the Commons entrance and make sure to bring your ID.Thank you for all of your support for our school, students, and staff. We cannot effectively educate our students without the work you do behind the scenes. Your pride and commitment to our school is vital to the moral and culture within in the school. We hope to see you at the many school events throughout the year. To receive up to date information, please check the schedules, calendar, and news located on our school website https://cascade.k12.mt.us .I am eager to continue our mission of having all students learning at high levels.
