Badger Athlete of the Week

Badger Player of the WeekWeek of September 26  High SchoolBraedyn JohnsonCascade High School Volleyball would like to recognize Braedyn Johnson as our superb athlete of the week. Standing at 5 foot 7 inches with a 21 inch vertical Braedyn drifts between outside hitter and middle blocker for the Badger Varsity Volleyball team.   Braedyn has put in a lot of time over the summer, staying late after practice, and doing extra weight and skill training on her own to develop and enhance her volleyball game.  In just the last month we have seen her hard work really paying off as she not only excels in the front row but is becoming a very dynamic  back row defender.  “Braedyn is the type of kid that coaches just love to have in the gym; she is an extremely hard worker, positive, coachable and a great teammate.   Her self discipline and dedication to the sport of volleyball is becoming very apparent and she is starting to shine on the court.  I am so excited to watch her grow over the next half of the season and into next year.” Coach Liz Junior HighEmma Edmundson6th grader Emma Edmundson is cross country's athlete of the week. Her work ethic day in and day out showcases what Cross Country is all about. She runs with grit and determination. She is a fierce competitor and leader among our Jr. High girls' team. She is strong, hardworking, focused and encouraging to others. Emma has improved her time at each meet throughout the season. This past week at Headwaters Invitational in Three Forks, Emma ran 2 miles in 13:47 coming in 2nd in the Jr. High girls' race.
