SOUP WITH THE SUPT FEB 7TH

Come join Supt. Justin Barnes on Tuesday, February 7th, at 6pm in the cafeteria for an evening of soup and conversation about education and the Cascade Public School system. This night will be dedicated to you, the parents and community. Casual conversations around the issues and topics you would like to discuss will be the focus. This forum is not designed to be a debate, but rather a relaxing atmosphere where you can feel comfortable asking any questions you may have about Cascade Public Schools. We hope you can make it!

FCS CLASSROOM DAMAGED

A demolition crew began removing the false ceiling in the FCS (home ec) classroom Wednesday following the partial collapse of the ceiling and roof sometime over the three-day weekend. The damage was discovered Tuesday morning before school, so no students were in, or have been allowed in the classroom. The TV Media classroom is also temporarily closed while workers stabilize the ceiling in the FCS classroom, although the damaged area is on the south wall, and TV Media classroom is on the far end opposite wall. An inspection of the roof revealed a large snowdrift had accumulated over the damaged area, and work continues today to remove the snow.

PTSA PIE SOCIAL

It's time for the annual pie social sponsored by the Cascade PTSA!  The social will be held Thursday, December 15 right after the Elementary Christmas program, "Snow Day" and the band concert.  The program/concert (for grades K-6) is in the north gym at 7:00 pm, so the pie social will begin around 7:45 pm in the school cafeteria.  We are asking for donations of pie, whipped topping or juice for this event. You may bring the pies, etc to the school the day of the program and drop them off in the school cafeteria.  Please consider coming, even if you don't have a child in the program-it is an awesome event and the students have been working very hard on their songs and band tunes! And there's nothing wrong with enjoying pie and conversation either!!
