Badger Player of the Week
For the week of September 5, 2022
Kameron Kakalecik was a stand out performer both on and off the field this week. Going back a week, to the week of the Simms game, Kameron showed exemplary leadership, pushing himself and his teammates in their preparation to improve their performance from the previous week. This effort paid huge dividends on the field as Kameron anchored a defensive effort that held the Simms offense mostly in check, allowing just six points in the 24-6 win. Moving forward to this week, his leadership and work ethic has continued to stand out. Kameron's positive attitude and determination has been infectious throughout the team paving the way for the team's first win of the season and preparing the way toward our next game in Lone Peak. It is also the reason for his selection as the Junior High Badger of the week.
Trent Lane is Cross Country's athlete of the week. This is his 3rd year running for the Jr. High Cross Country team. He will often run more miles in practice than is asked of him. He always encourages the younger runners to do their best and shows up for each practice and competition with a positive attitude ready to work. Trent has placed in the top 10 at each meet so far this season and is ranked in the top 6% of all Class C Jr. High Runners this season.
