You know it is really spring when it's time for the Cascade School Music Department spring concert! The concert celebrating spring and making music will be Tuesday, May 11 at 7:00 pm in the north gym. Groups participating in this event include all the bands in grades 5-12 and the high school choir.

The music students have been busy since their last concert in March. During this time, they have "participated" in the District Music Festival and are now working on auditions for the North Central Honor Band and Choir. District Music Festival looked very different this year as the students in grades 9-12 actually recorded their selections live and these recordings were sent to be adjudicated for comments. Results will be coming soon! Normally the North Central Honor Band and Choir is held in the fall, but due to Covid 19 precautions, the event was cancelled. In order for the students to include their selection to these groups on their resumes, they auditioned last week, remotely, and will be chosen to participate as if the event took place. Lots of thought has gone into including our music students in these events and thanks go out to all the music educators in the state!!

Tuesday, May 11 will also include the Cascade School Art Department's first Art Gala!

Remember Tuesday, May 11, the place to be is the Cascade School for the Music Department's spring concert and the Art Gala. We hope to see you there to celebrate the arts!!
