Welcome to Cascade FFA! |
What curriculum do we use? |
|
We are fortunate to offer a variety of Agriculture classes for our Junior High and High School students. As we continue updating technology and machinery, we are able to better prepare our students for their future. Be it going back to the family ranch, on to post-secondary education or one of the amazing tech schools, or going straight into the industry workforce. We are trying to prepare our students to be ready to accept whatever challenge they come to face. We are currently offering the following classes to our students: Natural Resources Agricultural Science (Animal Science base) Junior High Agriculture Greenhouse Management (Plant Science base) Agricultural Mechanics (FFA Agricultural Mechanics CDE base) Welding (More details of each class to come...stay tuned!) |
We are excited to offer three classes supported by CASE (Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education). Our Ag program holds three CASE certifications which we get to offer amazing hands-on lab settings. These certifications are in AFNR (Agriculture, Foods, Natural Resources), ASA (Agricultural Science - Animal) and ASP (Agricultural Science - Plant). We are also working with our local college's welding program to be able to build our welding program to (hopefully) be a feeder school for their program. We have picked up a great welding curriculum, through Cengage, that offers a variety of supportive resources online from videos to the text book and questions. We then apply and build our skill set with hands on activities in the welding shop. |
