I was born in Great Falls Mt. My schooling began in a two room school house in Raynesford, Mt. I remained there through the 5th grade. I was transferred  to Belt Elementary  and graduated from high school there. My college years were spent at MSU where I graduated with a teaching degree in Home Economics with a PE and Health minor. My husband was a ranch manager and we often lived too far out in the country for me to work. This also enabled me to stay home and raise our 4 children. When we moved to Cascade to run the Hodson Ranch, I began working first as a substitute, then as an aid, then I went back to school to get re-certified. I worked for four years as an aid and decided to go back to school for an elementary degree. My second bachelors degree was from MSU Havre. I have taught Middle School Social Studies for about 10 years, and FCS for 12. The culinary arts classes were started after I took a summer course at Johnson and Whales Culinary School in Denver.
