Reducing injuries and boosting productivity are two of the goals emphasized in a free OSHA 10-hour class set to begin Monday, March 30 at Cascade High School. 

The class is being taught by Fred Miller, an outreach safety trainer with the MT Dept. of Labor & Industry. It will provide an introduction to worksite safety and general OSHA rules and regulations. Members of the community are welcome to join the class by sending an email to Nichole Pieper, high school principal nichole.pieper@cascade.k12.mt.us.  

Topics include Introduction to OSHA;  Hazard Communication; Electrical; Slips, Trips & Falls; Fire Prevention; Personal Protective Equipment; Ergonomics; Hazard Awareness; Material Handling; and Safety & Health Programs. The class consists of 10 hours of classroom instruction spread over March 30, April 6 & 20.
