Reducing injuries and boosting productivity are two of the goals emphasized in a free OSHA 10-hour class set to begin Monday, March 30 at Cascade High School.
The class is being taught by Fred Miller, an outreach safety trainer with the MT Dept. of Labor & Industry. It will provide an introduction to worksite safety and general OSHA rules and regulations. Topics include Introduction to OSHA; Hazard Communication; Electrical; Slips, Trips & Falls; Fire Prevention; Personal Protective Equipment; Ergonomics; Hazard Awareness; Material Handling; and Safety & Health Programs. The class consists of 10 hours of classroom instruction spread over March 30, April 6 & 20.
