Cascade School Employees spent Friday's PIR (Pupil-Instruction-Related training) with security and safeguarding our students and schools. Members of the Cascade County Sheriff's Office were on hand to provide ALICE, that's Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate active-shooter training, to the staff. A Google search for Alice security training will show several ALICE YouTube training vides that were viewed before the staff did their hands-on, literally hands-on training. Best training to date. The CCSO deputies will be back later to share the training with our students in their classrooms, to help get everybody on the same page when it comes to countering an active shooter situation in our school.
